From June until November 2025 Palazzo Diedo – Berggruen Arts & Culture will host the external session of BUILT/UNBUILT, the public program of the Saudi Arabia Pavilion at the 19. Architecture Biennale, The Um Slaim School: An Architecture of Connection.
The first session, curated by Beatrice Leanza and co-led by Maryam AlNoaimi, will focus on the making and long-term accessibility of archives through interdisciplinary practices of cocreation and storytelling to reframe architectural and urban narratives.

Building on the first session held in June, Palazzo Diedo – Berggruen Arts & Culture will host the second external session of BUILT/UNBUILT, the public program of the Saudi Arabia Pavilion at the 19th Architecture Biennale The Um Slaim School: An Architecture of Connection.
The program, curated by Beatrice Leanza and co-led by Maryam AlNoaimi will explore how situated knowledge shapes our engagement with materials; not as passive substances to be used and discarded, but as active agents embedded in ecologies, histories, and land-based relations.

Palazzo Diedo hosts the third external session of BUILT/UNBUILT, the public program of the Saudi Arabia Pavilion, participating in the 19th International Architecture Exhibition by La Biennale di Venezia with the exhibition The Um Slaim School: An Architecture of Connection.
Contributors will reflect on the programmatic outlines and architectures of educational contexts to shape novel agendas and methodologies that reimagine pedagogical roles, integrate critical, emotional, and experiential knowledge, and bring renewed relevance to architecture as both a spatial and cultural practice of purpose and collective care.
